Sawyer grew playing sports at Sherrills Ford Optimist - tee-ball, baskteball, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. He's been playing sports at SFO since he was 4-years-old.
He is currently a rising sophomore at Gaston College in the Sports Media Technology program.
Sawyer is an Eagle Scout of Troop 327 in Sherrills Ford. His Eagle project was to build wiffleball equipment for SFO. He hosted several wiffleball play dates as part of his project.
